but i don't care either way. it filters a TON of words i'd rather it didn't.
How about we just start a new topic with words that we don't find objectionable that do get censored and see if they can be "ignored" by the censor in the future?
That might make for an entertaining thread Alex, but would involve rewriting core code. Just clicking the "no" button in the MCP would solve this request. Unless there happen to be little children who regularly visit studying up on guerilla filmmaking, think we can handle reading an ocassional F*** or S*** without needing to decipher what word someone really meant to write. Besides, don't swears ocassionally crop-up in some of our scriptwriting anyways?

O'course, tonight it says Nigel, but on the 29th when starting this thread, it was "NO ONE".

its not like nigel was randomly picked by some
hostboard mod generator... someone had to manually
enter his ID number into the MCP in order for
him to be made mod. that can only be done in one
of five ways....
1) the original mod put nigel in charge
2) a hostboard glitch put nigel in charge
3) i put nigel in charge (which isn't the case)
4) steven or some other admin put nigel in charge
5) nigel, or someone, hacked in and put nigel in charge
at any rate, it shows nigel as being the only
mod... and unless there is some technical blurb
that happened, i don't see how that can be
contested
back in may, i had noticed that this
board had "NO ONE" listed as a moderator...
and i asked if someone wished to be made mod.
at the time, no one came forward (to me).
between then and now, it seems nigel has been
made mod... at least in terms of the MCP.
i am not sure if nigel still posts here, but
his ID is listed as the mod of this board.
it is possible that someone can try and contact
him... requesting that the filter be turned off.
if you would like, i can try and contact him.
otherwise... i'll see what i can do about the
filter... however i think it best that the
board in general -- in the case that nigel
cannot be located/contacted -- come to a conclusion
on whether or not this board keeps the filter,
removes the filter, or opts to have certain
words censored.
